Dedicated to Live Sound
The original intent for this site was to put up a wiki for live sound. There was huge interest from comment spammers with the original wiki software. There were over 2000 spam comments on the opening page of the wiki alone. I took the original site down and just left a page in its place explaining the situation.
I still want to make this an interesting and useful site. I am publishing some articles and reprinting many more to cover some information in the live sound production arena. I hope that you will find some useful information here.
Invitation to Contribute
As the original intent was to develop a community knowledge base. The wiki software was to facilitate that undertaking. Since the wiki software is not now in use I invite you to contribute articles to be included on this site.
The Live Sound Forum
At the same time that I put up the wiki I put up a forum. A forum is a community. In order to have a community you need to join and participate in the forum. There are only a few members at the present time, so there is not much discussion. Please consider joining the forum and becoming active by posting your comments and questions.
I have added a comment section to each page on this site and invite your comments on the articles. I also invite you to join the forum to discuss the concepts found here and any other live sound related issues. There is also a classified section in conjunction with the forum where you can advertise your used equipment.
Sponsors
This wiki is presented and maintained by my small sound and lighting production company AudioArt Sound and Lighting. The Mixing Live Sound site is a proud sponsor of the Live Sound Wiki and Forum.
Will you contribute your knowledge to the wiki?
Please tell me!
